Although built in 1905, the house went through an extensive and thorough remodeling when it was saved from destruction in 2000. In order to save the house it was relocated two blocks down from its original location and basically rebuilt from the ground up. The owners were careful not to destroy the old style and flavor of the house during the remodel and salvaged much of the original woodwork. Modern amenities make the inn a comfortable place yet the surroundings and ambiance create the feeling of stepping back in time.
